The route takes the A4 past Zug into central Switzerland, then the A2 through the canton of Uri to the Gotthard road tunnel and down the Leventina valley to Bellinzona. The drive usually takes 2 hours 30 to 3 hours 15. If the queue before the Gotthard is long, your driver can switch to the San Bernardino on the A13.
