The drive takes the A51 and the A1 west to the junction near Solothurn, then the A5 past Biel and along Lake Biel to Neuchâtel. The drive usually takes 2 hours to 2 hours 30. Along Lake Biel the route passes through several tunnels and short stretches with lower speed limits.
