The fastest route from Zurich Airport to Saas-Fee runs via Bern and Spiez to Kandersteg, where the Lötschberg car train carries the vehicle through the tunnel to Goppenstein. From there you continue to Visp.
From Visp the road climbs through the Saas valley via Stalden and Saas-Grund to Saas-Fee. Depending on traffic and weather, the route via Lausanne and the Rhône valley may be used instead.
The distance is about 250 kilometres. In normal conditions the transfer takes around 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours. Heavy traffic, snowfall or winter road conditions can make the journey longer.
