This notice explains how we process personal data on this website and when handling enquiries and bookings. It supplements the Terms and Conditions; accepting the Terms is not data-protection consent.
1. Controller and contact
The controller for the processing described in this notice is Star Chauffeur Services (Airport Taxi ZRH), Geissbergstrasse 18, 8302 Kloten, Switzerland. For privacy questions or requests for access, correction or deletion, please write to info@airporttaxizrh.com or to this postal address.
2. Data we process
Depending on how you use the service, we process in particular:
- contact details such as name, email address and telephone number;
- booking and journey details such as pick-up and destination, date/time, service type, passenger and luggage count, and selected vehicle class;
- optional details such as flight number, arrival time, passenger details, pick-up instructions and other notes;
- payment status, payment references and amount/currency information; we do not store full card data in the website database;
- for bookings, the channel through which you reached our website (for example an ad, a search engine, a referral or a direct visit), together with campaign details, the referring website, the landing page and, where present, the ad platform’s click ID (for example Google Ads or Microsoft Advertising);
- contact-form submissions, security data and necessary operational logs.
If you provide data about another person, please make sure that you are entitled to do so and that they have been informed about this notice.
3. Purposes and legal grounds
We process data to answer enquiries, arrange journeys and payments, coordinate drivers and operations, prevent misuse, operate the website securely, and meet legal retention and record-keeping duties. Where the GDPR applies, processing is based in particular on steps requested before a contract and performance of a contract, legal obligations, our legitimate interests in secure and reliable operations, and consent where required.
The online fare is a technical, automated calculation using route, service type, time, passenger/luggage requirements and tariffs. It does not itself confirm a booking. You may ask for human review using the contact details above.
4. Recipients and services used
We disclose data only where necessary for the relevant purpose. This can include our staff and, where applicable, drivers carrying out the journey, as well as these service providers:
- Supabase for database and application functions (project region EU Central);
- Stripe for secure card-payment processing through Stripe Checkout;
- Google Maps Platform (Places and Routes) for address suggestions and server-side route calculations;
- Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse and bot prevention once this security verification is activated;
- Google Analytics and Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC) to understand, with your consent, how the website is used and to measure which ads lead to bookings (see section 7);
- website hosting, content-delivery and font providers needed to deliver and display the website.
You can read the relevant provider notices at Supabase, Stripe, Google and Cloudflare.
5. International processing
Depending on provider configuration, data may be processed in Switzerland, the EEA or other countries, including the United States. Where data is transferred to a country without an equivalent data-protection level, we use the contractual or other safeguards required by applicable law. The specific providers and their configuration are reviewed before online booking is activated and this notice will be updated if they change.
6. Retention
We keep data only as long as necessary for the enquiry, contract, journey, payment, security, dispute resolution, or legal retention and record-keeping duties. Contact enquiries are reviewed after they have been handled; booking, payment and business records can be retained longer where legal duties or legitimate interests require it. Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised. Technical deletion and anonymisation periods will be fixed before online booking is activated.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
On your first visit a notice asks which cookies you allow. Technically necessary storage is always active, because booking, payment and protection against misuse do not work without it. We only set statistics and marketing cookies if you agree. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via ; the same link is at the bottom of every page. Booking works even if you allow necessary storage only.
As long as you have not agreed, Google sets no cookies. Google then only receives cookieless signals without an identifier, for example that a page was viewed or a booking was completed, and uses them for aggregated, statistically modelled reports (Google Consent Mode). We never send your name, e-mail address or phone number to Google.
The legal basis for necessary storage is our legitimate interest in a secure, working booking process and the steps prior to a contract; for statistics and marketing it is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future. When Stripe, Google or Cloudflare are used, their privacy notices also apply.
8. Your rights
Under applicable law, you may request information about your personal data and ask for correction, deletion, restriction or objection. Where the GDPR applies, you may also have rights to data portability and to complain to a competent supervisory authority. Please use the contact details above; we may ask for reasonable proof of identity.
9. Security and changes
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss and alteration. We will update this notice if processing activities, service providers or legal requirements change materially.
